This is a kit that sounds really good. It is tart strawberry flavoured
Gewurztraminer. These types of kits, like the Apple Riesling, are meant to be
more like wine coolers with a 6% ABV. I kick them up a notch to about 12%. This
kit is no different. I got the OG to 1.090 which should finish dry @ 0.996. The
tart strawberry flavour should be awesome.
Finally changed containers. Checked gravity: 1.000 giving me about 12% (double what it was supposed to be). Should finish it up this month. There is a lot of built up co2 as a result of yeast doing their thing. Stirring is the first step in getting rid of it. This batch is bulk aging for a while before bottling. |
