One of the magazines I read posted the winners of the 2013 National Homebrew
Competition. In the Melomel category the winner was a recipe for key lime mead.
It sounds more like a standard mead with key lime flavouring than a classic
melomel but I thought I would try it anyway. It is simple and the instructions
were straight forward so I started a batch in mid November I am looking at a mid
March bottling. The batch is in secondary now and is very clear and dark brown.
