I made a batch of strawberry wine and used some of the strawberries for a batch
of mead. I mainly used the juice instead of the berries or a puree. Not sure how
it will taste, but I can backsweeten for more berry taste if needed.
This one is a little lighter than previous batches with an OG of 1.110. Should still be good I have found with meads they finish very dry and extremely hot. This is the first batch I back sweetened and added fruit after ferment has finished. Bottled today. Didn't taste very good. No strawberry flavour. Will let it sit for a while (until I need the bottles or space). |
